Animated ad spots: when style serves the idea

Each video in this series is not just animation but a visual story. Style follows the idea, details work towards brand recognition. The trick is not to get carried away by effects and lose the point.

For the water park's cyber sale I used an 8-bit aesthetic with nods to Pac-Man. A yellow fish «eats up» the discount percentages, turning the ad into a mini-game. It's not just arcade nostalgia but a way to hold attention and raise a smile. People watch the video and engage instead of scrolling past.

The Korean culture festival brought together tradition and modernity. A fan became the symbol connecting the characters — from idol to cosplayer. One image holds the whole composition and keeps it from falling apart into separate scenes. In the «Colour the Autumn» video, realistic falling leaves and natural textures created the illusion of a walk down the street. It strengthened the family atmosphere and made the video warm and relatable.

Even in animation I keep a balance between creativity and corporate style. Vivid metaphors, a considered palette and dynamic transitions make each poster memorable without overload. The video works for the brand and still feels alive.

Production

Besides animating stills, I work with editing footage that's already been shot. This is a separate layer of work where what matters is not generation so much as the skill to turn raw material into a finished product.

Colour grading, stabilisation, titles, music, graphics. It's all part of the process. Sometimes the footage arrives raw — shaky camera, blown highlights. Sometimes it's nearly done but needs a final assembly. Either way I bring it to the point where the video is ready to go out.

Colour grading here isn't decoration. It lifts the image, brings scenes to a single tone, removes the mismatch between shots. Stabilisation rescues footage that would otherwise be thrown away. Titles and graphics serve navigation and style, while music sets the rhythm and mood.

This isn't a separate service but part of the whole process. I cover the full cycle: from idea and animation to the final edit. The client doesn't need to find a second contractor and explain what's already been done.
